Pre-season Info released

Sunderland have announced large junk of their pre-season plans for the upcoming return to the Premier League. The club has announced another day of 2 friendlies between Gateshead and South Shields to open proceedings followed by a trip to the Algarve again for 2 fixtures with one match seeing the lads face Sporting CP. There is a package for supporters to book through Sports Breaks which can be found on the clubs website, I’ve linked this below. Upon returning to home soil the lads will travel north to Edinbourgh to take part in Craig Gordons testimonial for Hearts.

The shot stopper spent 5 years with the black cats picking up an acolade of “best save in the 20-year history of the Premier League” in 2012 after a quite ridiculous save against Bolton Wonderers. Craig spoke of this save recently with Graham of WTF Sunderland Podcast. Very much worth a listen. Despite serious injuries throughout his career he has managed to find himself still at the top of Scottish football in recent years and a player who is fondly remembered.

Sunderland round off their Preseaon with a trip to Hull and finally a home fixture against Real Betis. More information will be released in due course and it will be shared with you on the clubs website and here as well.
